The business was founded by Christoph Krautheim is German city of Selb in 1884. He started buying blank porcelain and decorating it. In 1889 Richard Adelberg (Krautheim's brother in law) joined the shop.
In 1912 they started producing own porcelain. Christoph died in 1933. As a result the factory was taken over by his son Richard. Porzellanfabrik Krautheim & Adelberg G.m.b.H. was closed in 1977 when it was owned by Georg Krautheim.
